Landlord & Property Manager Directory

SCRA gives you the right to terminate leases early and protects you from eviction. Find contact information for major property managers and learn how to exercise your rights.

Lease Termination

End your lease early without penalty for PCS, deployment, or entering active duty. 30 days written notice required.

Eviction Protection

Landlords cannot evict you without a court order for rentals below the federal threshold (adjusted annually).

How to Terminate Your Lease

1

Get Your Orders

You need PCS orders, deployment orders, or orders to report to active duty for 90+ days.

2

Write Notice

Provide written notice to your landlord stating you're terminating under SCRA.

3

Include Orders

Attach a copy of your military orders to the notice.

4

Deliver Notice

Lease terminates 30 days after the next rent is due following notice delivery.
