Your SCRA Rights
- Early Lease Termination - End your lease without penalty for PCS, deployment, or entering active duty
- No Early Termination Fees - They cannot charge fees for breaking the lease
- 30-Day Notice - Lease terminates 30 days after the next rent payment is due
- Eviction Protection - Cannot evict without court order during service
How to Terminate Your Lease

Notify your property manager
Visit the leasing office in person or call to inform them you're terminating under SCRA. -
Submit written notice
Provide a written termination letter along with a copy of your military orders. -
Note the termination date
Your lease terminates 30 days after the next rent payment is due following your notice. -
Complete move-out inspection
Schedule a move-out inspection and return all keys. -
Get your deposit
Your security deposit should be returned minus any legitimate damage charges.
